Counselling Services
Approach
I consider myself to be an integrative Counsellor which allows me the flexibility to combine a number of different modalities of therapy according to individual needs.
In my practice, I like to offer a variety of therapeutic tools to enhance the counselling experience. These may include creative therapy and worksheets to explore difficult feelings, as a way of gaining clarity and promoting emotional healing. Also, provision of fact sheets and use of evidence based evaluations designed to show clients how far they have travelled in their counselling process.
Such tools are offered as a way of working, to gain a sense of control, and always with the consent of and for the benefit of the client. The aim is to enable progression from a place of distress, towards hope and resilience, greater self-acceptance, fufillment of your maximum potential and ultimately self-empowerment.

My Values
I believe passionately in the process of counselling, and for me the promotion of positive mental health and well-being is at the core of my work.
I value and appreciate the importance of equality and diversity in our society and believe every client, no matter what their background or experience, deserves to be treated with respect and without judgement or discrimination.
I feel I learn something different from the uniqueness of each individual client, and I consider my role as a Counsellor not only to be a humbling experience, but a real privilege to be able to play a small part in someone’s journey.
I strive at all times to adhere to the BACP ‘Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions’ which is a commitment to the promotion of the highest professional standards and sound ethical practice.
I believe now, more than ever, when poor mental health due to the Pandemic is at crisis level, that it is vital to be able to offer some hope to those who are experiencing difficult times in their lives.
“I am not what has happened to me, I am what I choose to become”
